Configure a Subsection

You can configure subsections for the section configured in the Sections panel using the Procedure Documentation Config practice template.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template.
3. In Select Template, select the Practice tab.
4. In the Show section, select All.
   A list of practice templates opens.
5. Select Procedure Documentation Config and select OK.
6. On the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, expand the Sub Sections panel.
7. Select Procedure to open a list of procedures associated with the selected specialty.
   The procedures are configured for a specialty on the Procedure Config practice template.
8. Select a procedure to configure subsections specific for a procedure.
9. Select any of the following options:
   • Procedure documentation - Select this option to configure subsections for the procedure documentation section available in the left pane of the Documentation panel in this practice template.

     The configured subsections also appear on the runtime ASC Procedure Documentation template. The option is selected by default.

   • Procedure Findings - Select this option to configure subsections for the findings section available in the left pane of the Documentation panel in this practice template.

     The configured findings subsections also appear in the runtime ASC Procedure Documentation and ASC Phy Procedure Findings templates. When you select this option, the GET Member Equivalent field becomes available.

     If you select the Procedure findings option, the system opens a list of locations if configured in the Procedure Findings panel. After you select a location from the list, the system opens a list of findings configured for the location in the Procedure Findings panel. You need to select a finding from the list to configure subsections for a section of the procedure findings.

10. To add a subsection to a section, select Sub section 1.
11. To add a subsection to the configured Sub section 1, select Sub section 2.
12. To add a subsection to the configured Sub section 2, select Sub section 3.
    In runtime, the configured procedure documentation and findings subsections appear in the left pane on the ASC Procedure Documentation template. The procedure findings subsections also appear in the ASC Phy Procedure Findings template.
