Configure the Medical and Family History

You can configure the windows that open on adding a medical or family history on the Medical/Surgical/Interim panel and the Family panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Medical/Surgical/Interim panel. In the Medical History Popup list, select a template. In the Family History Popup list, select a template. Configuration of Panels

You can configure panels using the Framework Content system template. You can configure the following panels on the Framework Content system template. Histories Template

Patient history information is documented on the Histories template for a new patient, and reviewed and updated for an existing patient. Histories Patient's Problem List You can manage a patient's problems. Patient's Medical History The Medical/Surgical/Interim panel allows you to document the medical or surgical history of the patient. Patient's Diagnostic Tests and Results You can document a patient's diagnostic tests and the associated results. Patient's Family History You can document the family history of the patient in the Family panel on the Histories template. Copy Configured Histories to Different Specialty/Practice

The Copy Histories panel enables you to copy the configured medical, surgical, and/or family history from a Specialty and/or Practice to another Specialty and/or Practice. Access the Configure Medical, Surgical, Family Hx system template. Expand the Copy Histories panel. In the Copy from section, select a Specialty and/or Practice. Select the Type of configured history that you want to copy. In the Copy to section, select a different Specialty and/or Practice. To clear the selections and start over, select Clear. Overview of the Histories Template

You can add, update, delete, and review a patient's history summary details. You can document a patient's social history, problem list, medical or surgical history, diagnostic study history, and family history on the Histories template. Patient's Problem List You can manage a patient's problems. Patient's Medical History The Medical/Surgical/Interim panel allows you to document the medical or surgical history of the patient. Cardiology Histories Workflow

You can document the cardiology histories in the Histories - Cardiology template. The template uses standard framework functionality and is used by the nurse/technician to document a patient's history. You can document the following in the Histories – Cardiology template.
