Add Chief Complaints to the Reason for Visit List

You can set up a chief complaint to be accessible in the Reason for Visit list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Reason for Visit panel. Set the Filter to all. Select a gender from the filter by gender list. To select a reason for visit from the list, select the field on the Reason for Visit column of the grid. Note: If the required reason for visit is not listed, you can open the Manage Custom Links practice template to add the reason for visit. Select OK and then select Add. Manage the Reason for Visit Submenu

You can update or delete the items in the Reason for Visit sub-menu. You must enter a sub-menu value before or after the Reason for Visit. In runtime, sub-menus allows you to make another selection to further refine your initial selection. A second selection, in some cases, even a third selection appears. This allows the practice to have a shorter list of reasons for visit. For example, instead of having two reasons that include initial or follow-up, you can add sub-menus initial and follow-up to a reason for visit to indicate whether the visit is initial or follow-up. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Reason for Visit panel. Select the Filter to all. Highlight a complaint in the grid. In the Submenus section, select before and type items in the fields (for example, left, right, and bilateral). You can configure the complaints that appear in the Reason for Visit panel by adding them to the top list on the Framework Content system template. Before including a reason for visit in the top list, ensure that it exists in the all list. Note: You can include up to 14 reasons for visit in the top list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Reason for Visit panel. Set the Filter to top. To select a reason for visit, select the field on the Reason for Visit column of the grid, and select OK.The list includes the reasons for visit from the all list, specific to the selected specialty. Select Add.The reason appears in the Reason for Visit grid and in the Reason for Visit panel on the Framework Content system template. Manage Summary Selections on the Summary List

You can add, remove, and reorder the summary selections on the Summary list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Medical Chart Summary panel. To select an item in the list, select the list field on the Summary Item column, and select a summary item.The selected summary item appears in the field. To add the summary item to the grid, select Add. To rearrange the items in the Summary Listing grid in alphabetical order, select Sort Alphabetically. To remove a summary item, select a row in the grid, and select Delete. Modify the Sequence of the My Plan Tab

You can change the sequence of the tabs that appear on the My Plan template using the Sort Order option. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select a speciality, practice, or provider. Select the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel. In the specialty, practice, or provider grid, select a row that represents a tab on the My Plan template.The details about the tab appears in the Caption, Template Name, and Sort Order fields. Note: In this example, if you select the My Plan row item, the sort order appears as 2. That is, the My Plan tab is the second tab. To select a different row, select Clear. To remove the template mapping for a selected caption, select in the Template Name field and then select the Clear link. You can configure up to 14 chief complaints in the Reason for Visit panel. Each reason for visit is linked to a history of present illness template. You can create and store those links on the Manage Custom Links practice template.
