You can set up a chief complaint to be accessible in the Reason for Visit list.
 
  - Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
 
  - Open the Framework Content system template.
 
  - Select the Reason for Visit panel.
 
  - Set the Filter to all.
 
  - Select a gender from the filter by gender list.
 
  - To select a reason for visit from the list, select the field on the Reason for Visit column of the grid.
   
    Note: If the required reason for visit is not listed, you can open the Manage Custom Links practice template to add the reason for visit.
    
 
     
  - Select OK and then select Add.
