Buttons in the Procedures Template

Field	Description
Consent link	Opens Consent - Procedures to document the procedure and consent details.
Consent	Generates the procedure consent document for preview. Allows you to print the document to be signed by the person consenting to the procedure.
Patient Education	Opens the Patient Education Browser, which contains a library of patient education documents.
Offline Proc Note	Submits the Procedure Note document for an offline generation.
Preview Proc Note	Generates the Procedure Note document in run time.

Generate Consent Report - Procedure Panel

In the Patient Consent section: Select the Consent link. The Consent Procedures template opens. Document Provider, Consent By, Type of Procedure, Date and appropriate consent information on the Consent Procedures template. Add additional consent data in the Comments field. Select Save & Close.The system displays the corresponding checkboxes and fields in the Patient Consent section. Note: You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. For more information on managing and using the My Phrases functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Getting Started User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Generate a Patient Consent

In the Patient Consent section, Select Consent by and select the name of the person providing the consent. Select the appropriate checkboxes to document the consent details. If you want to select all the checkboxes in this section, select the Check all checkbox. Enter any Comments on the patient consent. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. For more information on managing and using the My Phrases functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Getting Started User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. The Consent link opens the Consent - Procedures template to document additional details on the consent and the associated procedures. Generate Documents on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The following two buttons are available at the bottom of the ASC - Physician Procedure template: Button Function Procedure Letter Select to generate the Asc_Ref_Proc_Phy_proc_letter document for the referring providers as a reference to the procedure performed on the patient. Generate Document Select to generate encounter based document Or, Select the drop-down arrow on the button and select a procedure from the list to generate the procedure based document. The procedure note document includes all the details and the images associated with the selected procedure. Note: The system generates the referral note with the procedure document if you select the Generate Procedure Letter on generation of the Procedure document checbox in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Generate Pre-Procedure Note Button

The Generate Pre-Procedure Note button at the bottom of the ASC - Preprocedure template generates the ASC Pre-Procedure document. Buttons in Communication Panel

The following buttons are available in the Orders panel. Button/Links Description Add Allows you to include any new communication information on the template. Document Procedure Details

You can document the details of procedures performed during the patient encounter on the Procedures template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. Select the Navigation icon, and select the Procedures link from the navigation bar.The Procedures template opens. In the Pre-procedure care section, select the applicable checkboxes after explaining the pre-procedural care details to the patient. Select a specific procedure link to open the template for the selected procedure. Document the applicable details in the procedure specific template. Select Save & Close. On the Procedures template, select the Offline Proc Note button to generate the procedure document with the details documented in the Procedures template. Parent topic: Documenting Procedures
