Patient's Communication Details Review by Provider

You can view the details of communication between a practice and a patient using the Communication panel. The details of the communication are documented in the Telephone Call or Telephone Communication template. The badge count in the panel header provides the number of open items in the communication queue. The Filter field at the beginning of the grid allows the provider to filter the communication details based on the status. You can select the category from the left pane to filter and review the items by category. The numbers beside the items in the left pane indicate the number of items in the queue. Buttons and Checkboxes in Orders Signs Panel

You can find the buttons and checkboxes for documenting patient details in the Orders Signs panel. The following buttons and links available in the Orders panel. Button/Links Description Add Allows you to place additional orders. You can select the required orders on the My Plan template. Follow Up Allows you to place follow-up orders. Communication Panel

The Communication panel of the Care Coordination Home Page enables you to view phone, email and other contacts that were recorded on the Telephone Call template for a patient. Add a Patient Communication

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Access the Communications panel. Select the appropriate link on the Communication Tool pane on the left to indicate that type of patient contact being recorded: Medication Management Medical Question Test Result Request Referral Request Forms/Records Billing Question Outgoing Call Other The arrow to the left indicates which link is currently selected. The number to the right of the link shows that number of previously entered communications for that type of call. If you select a link, the previously entered communications for that type appear in the grid with the most recent call at that top of the list. Select Add.The appropriate telephone communications template appears. Medication Management In the Call Information section, select the Contact Type field, and select the call type. Enter the applicable details on the remainder of the template. Select Save & Close. Parent topic: Communication Panel

Buttons in the Procedures Template

You can use the buttons in the procedures template. The Procedures template contains the following buttons and links: Field Description Consent link Opens Consent - Procedures to document the procedure and consent details. Consent Generates the procedure consent document for preview. Allows you to print the document to be signed by the person consenting to the procedure. Patient Education Opens the Patient Education Browser, which contains a library of patient education documents. Offline Proc Note Submits the Procedure Note document for an offline generation.
