Add Test Codes for Intervention Equivalents

You can add a code equivalent for an intervention or a test for a patient's guideline.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. From File, select System \ Practice Template.
   The Select Template window opens.
3. On the Practice tab, select the All option.
4. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK.
   The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens.
5. Expand the Interventions/Test Equivalent Codes/Descriptions panel, and then select a guideline test.
6. Optional: Select the Enable billing code validation checkbox.
7. To add a code equivalent, select Intervention code equivalent and then enter a new code for the selected test.
8. To verify the code, select Verify.
9. Optional: To make the test code orderable, select the Orderable checkbox.
   A message appears if the test code does not have a valid SIM billing code associated with it.
10. Select OK and then select Add/Update.
    The new code appears in the grid.
