Add or Update a Test Description for an Intervention Equivalent

You can document a description of an intervention or a test for a patient's guideline.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. From File, select System \ Practice Template.
   The Select Template window opens.
3. On the Practice tab, select the All option.
4. Select Care Guidelines Setup, and then select OK.
   The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens.
5. Expand the Interventions/Test Equivalent Codes/Descriptions panel, and then in Intervention/Test Name, select a test.
   The File Maintenance Mappings grid displays the test code mappings to the selected test available in the NextGen test compendium.

   The Intervention Equivalents section shows all descriptions and codes currently in the system that are equivalent ways of identifying to the selected test.

6. To add a intervention description equivalent, select Intervention description equivalent, and then select Add/Update.
   The new description appears in the grid.

   
   
   

7. To update a intervention description equivalent, select the description in the Description Equivalent grid, make the necessary changes in Intervention description equivalent, and then select Add/Update.
