Add Questions to Customized Screening Tool
Open the
Custom Screening Tool Builder
template.
In the
Screening Tool Name
grid, select the tool for which you want to add the question.
The name of the selected tool appears in the
Add Questions
section.
To make it mandatory to answer a question, select
Make question required to be answered
.
Type the question and then select
Add
.
The added question appears in the question grid.
Select
Save and Close
.

Add Answers to Questions for the Customized Screening Tool
You can add answers for questions that have been configured for the custom screening tool. Open the Custom Screening Tool Builder template. In the Screening Tool Name grid, select the tool for which you want to add the answer.The name of the selected tool appears in the Add Questions section and its questions appear in the question grid. Select the question for which you want to add the answer options.The selected question appears in the Add Answer Options section. To add Yes and No options, select <Add Yes/No>. To add a free text answer option, select <Add free text option>. To add specific text as an answer option, type your answer in the Answer box, and then select Add. Select Save and Close. Manage Customized Screening Tool Questions
You can update or remove a question in the customized screening tool. Open the Custom Screening Tool Builder template. In the Screening Tool Name grid, select the tool for which you want to update or remove the question.The name of the selected tool appears in the Add Questions section and its questions appear in the question grid. To update a question, select the question in the grid, make the desired changes in the Question field, and then select Update. Manage Answers in the Customized Screening Tools
You can update or remove an answer to a question in the customized screening tool. Open the Custom Screening Tool Builder template. In the Screening Tool Name grid, select the tool for which you want to update or remove an answer.The name of the selected tool appears in the Add Questions section and its questions appear in the question grid. Select question for which you want to update or remove the answer.All the answer options for the selected questions appear in the Answer grid. To update an answer, select an answer in the answer grid, make the desired changes in the Answer field, and then select Update. To remove an answer, select an answer in the answer grid, and then select Remove. Select Save and Close. Note: On the Custom Screenings template, the NextGen Healthcare displays the questions and answers in the sequence as per the customization, on the template and the document that you generate. Rearrange the Order of Questions in Customized Screening Tools
Open the Custom Screening Tool Builder template. In the Screening Tool Name grid, select the tool for which you want to rearrange the order of questions.The selected tool name appears in the Add Questions section and its questions appear in the question grid. To rearrange the order of the questions, do one of the following: Select the up and down arrows to move questions to the desired positions. Select a question in the question grid, and then enter the desired order number of the question in the Display field, and then select Update. Select Save and Close. Create a Customized Screening Tool
You can create a customized screening tool on the Custom Screening Tool Builder system template. Open the Custom Screening Tool Builder template. In the Step 1 - Name That Tool section, type a tool name for that tool. To select a specialty, do one of the following: To configure a screening tool for all specialties, select All. To configure a screening tool for specific specialties, select Custom, and then select the desired specialties on the Specialty selection window. Custom Screening Tool Builder In Interpretation, select the field type, and configure the interpretations. Note: The Configure text link appears when Picklist (only) or Free text/Picklist option is selected. Your data on Custom Screening Tool Builder template gets reflected on the Screening Tool Log Configuration template. Under Score, select the field type, and select Add. Configure Interpretations
You can configure interpretations for new or existing custom screening tools. Open the Custom Screening Tool Builder template. To configure the interpretations, do one of the following: Note: The Configure link appears only if you select the Picklist (only) or Free text/Picklist option. To add an interpretation to a new custom tool, select Configure. To add an interpretation to an existing custom tool, select the tool in the Screening Tool Name grid and then select Configure. The Configurable Screen Tools Interpretation window opens. Configurable Screen Tools Interpretation Select Add New Interpretation and enter the interpretation.
