Add Procedure Details in Ambulatory Surgery

In Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), you can add the procedure details of a patient and the added procedures form the reasons for the patient visit.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Home Page template, and then in Specialty, select Ambulatory Surgery and in the Visit Type, select Procedure.
3. To open the ASC - Intake template, select Intake.
4. Expand the Procedure panel, and then select the applicable procedures.
   Note: The added procedures in the Procedure panel appear in the Reason for Visit panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure template. But, if you update any existing procedures in the panel, then a new record is added in the Reason for Visit panel.
5. Select the Physician Proc tab.
   The ASC - Physician Procedure template opens, displaying the same procedures added in the Procedure panel in the Reason for Visit panel.

   Note: When you remove any reason for visit from the Reason for Visit panel, the reason is removed from the panel, but not from the Procedure panel. The procedures in the Reason for Visit grid open the configured HPI template or the Generic Free Form template based on the configuration.
