Add Sections for HPI Reasons

You can create sections for an ambulatory surgery History of Present Illness (HPI) reason. The sections are based on the reason and provider.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the ASC Procedure Config practice template and expand the Configure Procedure Indications panel.
3. In Sections, enter Procedure or Indications in Section Name for ambulatory surgery.
4. In Parameter, enter Single for the ambulatory surgery specialty.
   Note: Parameter defines the number and type of grid used to display the content.
5. In EM Coding Element, select an option from the list.
   NextGen® Enterprise EHR attaches the coding element to Section and automatically fills the EM Coding Description field.
6. To indicate the sequence of the section, in Paragraph, select an option from the list and then select Add.
   The content is added to the grid in the ASC Procedure Config template.
