The medications must be added in the
Medication Configuration
system template.

template in

Manage Orders through the Order Management Sub-Navigational Link
The Order Management sub-navigational link opens the Order Management template, which allows you to update the applicable order details. Order Management template You can select any of the following View options: All Orders Diagnostics Lab Orders Office Services Procedures Referrals Other orders Immunizations Medications A list of orders associated with the selected category of order displays in the data grid. Note: If no orders exist in the data grid, select the appropriate options and select Add. The respective template opens, allowing you to add orders. For example, to add a diagnostics order, select the Diagnostics option and select Add. The Add button does not appear if Medications is selected. When updating an order in the Order Management panel, the user can make changes to any of the order elements, including result details, interpretation, dates, and comments. Any user can update an order, not just the user who placed the order with the My Plan template. Update an Order in the

Dispense Medications in the Order Management Template
The Manage Selected Order section is used to dispense, restock, and administer medicines and add additional SIGs. Highlight the medication in the grid.If you have not configured the selected medications in the Medication Configuration system template, an alert message appears. Order Management template If the medications are configured in the Medication Configuration template, it updates the Order, Lot number, Expiration date and other fields. Order Management template If there is an Additional SIG available, click the Additional SIG checkbox. Click the Additional SIG category and Additional SIG field and select an option from the list. Click the Dispensed option. Enter the Quantity dispensed. Enter Comments. Select a SIM code. Click the Diagnosis code field. Select a diagnosis code. Click Save & Task.The Select Task Recipients window opens. Click OK.An alert message displays if you want to task it to yourself. Add Medication in the Medication Module
Select Prescribe New option in the Medication module. In the Medication Search window, search a medication and click Select. Medication Search window Click the Sig link in the Medication module and enter the Sig information. Figure 1. . Medication Module Click Done. Enter the Quantity, Refills, Start date information. Configure Medications in the Medication Configuration System Template
The Medication Configuration system template provides instructions configure and document dispensing or administering medications to patients at the practice. You can track and document dispensing while remaining within their current workflows. Only medications set up in the Medication Configuration system template can be dispensed or administered on the Order Management template, provided they have also been placed in the patient’s Medication module. When you dispense or administer a medication in the Order Management template, the new inventory count is updated on the Medication Configuration template. The intake staff uses the Intake template to document a patient's chief complaint, vital signs, medications, allergies, standing orders and various other findings.
