Patient's Summary Review for Physical Therapy by the Intake Staff

The information documented by the intake staff in the Intake and Histories templates during the previous patient encounters is reflected on the Home Page - Physical Therapy template for the provider's review. Most clinical staffs start on the Intake template. The recommended workflow for Physical Therapy is to begin a patient encounter on the Home Page - Physical Therapy template. If you have previously set up the Home Page - Physical Therapy template as the default template, it automatically opens as the first template for a new encounter. To learn how to set the Home Page - Physical Therapy template as the default template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Getting Started User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. The Goals, Treatment History, Historical PE, Treatment Log and Orders panels display information as read-only. General Physical Therapy Workflow

The Physical Therapy tabbed template set presents a general workflow for documenting the patient history, physical therapy orders, physical exam, goals, and treatment for physical therapy encounters. Patient's Summary Review for Physical Therapy by the Intake Staff If required, the intake staff can review the patient's historical information documented in the previous encounters on the Home Page - Physical Therapy template. Access Home Page - Physical Therapy You can use the Templates module to access the Home Page - Physical Therapy template. Adding and Reviewing Allergies You can add and review the allergy details associated with a patient in the Allergies panel. View Treatment History

Access the Home Template

You can open the Home template to begin workflows on the NextGen® Orthopedic Suite. If you set up the Home template as the default template in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR user preferences, it will automatically open as the first template for new workflow appointments. You can also manually open this template from the Patient History bar. Open the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application. Select the desired patient record. Open the Allergy Home Page

You can use the Templates module to open the Home Page - Allergy template. Before you begin When you open the Home Page - Allergy template, ensure to select the specialty and visit type to open the framework template set for Allergy and Immunology. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates. On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. Select the Medical Records tab. In the Show section, select the All option. Access the Care Coordination Home Template

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Top Toolbar, select Templates icon. To view all the available templates, select All. On the Medical Records tab, search for and select Care Coordination Home.
