  • Sit in a quiet, secure environment to discuss sensitive topics without interruption or background noise.
  • Optimize lighting nearby to illuminate your face, and select a clear, simple background.
Note: In NextGen Virtual Visits™, you can select a virtual background within the visit.
  • Place your device on a steady surface at eye level.
  • Use a fully charged device and a strong internet connection, and shut down unnecessary devices.
  • To avoid distractions, close all other applications and turn off non-urgent notifications on your device.
  • Before your visit, run a quick audio and video test on your device.
  • If you use headphones, keep your microphone 8–10 inches away from your mouth. Mute your microphone when you are not speaking.
