Set up the Auto Release Windows Service

Before you begin You must install and configure the Microsoft ® Message Queue (MSMQ) to set up the Auto Release Windows Service for your practice. If your super UserId and PracticeId are not zeros, you must update your current values in NextGen.EMR.Lab.AutoRelease.Service.exe.config file of the NextGen root folder. You can set up the Auto Release Windows Service on your system to automatically release the orders. Select Start , and enter Command Prompt. Right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator. The Administrator: Command Prompt window opens. Enter the appropriate directory to change to the NextGen root folder. Note: Ensure that your changed directory has the NextGen root folder. In Command Prompt, enter NextGen.EMR.Lab.AutoRelease.Service install. Create Order Instance for a Practice

On the AutoRelease(ARU) - [Service Mode] window, you can create an order instance for your practice to release orders automatically based on the scheduled time and due date parameters. Select Start , and enter Command Prompt. Right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator. The Administrator: Command Prompt window opens. Enter the appropriate directory to change to the NextGen root folder. Note: Ensure that your changed directory has the NextGen root folder. In Command Prompt, enter NextGen.EMR.Lab.AutoRelease.exe "1". Command Prompt with NextGen Directory Note: The parameter 1 is passing for invoking the Auto Release Windows Service user interface. Select Enter. The NextGen security logon window opens. NextGen Logon Window Enter your user credentials, select your enterprise and practice, and then select Logon. Run the Order Instance on Demand

After you set up the Auto Release Windows service, you can release future and recurring orders on demand. Select Start , and enter Command Prompt. Right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator. The Administrator: Command Prompt window opens. Enter the appropriate directory to change to the NextGen root folder. View Exceptions in Log Files

If any exceptions occur within the Auto Release Utility Windows Service while the instances are running, the exceptions are recorded in the log files. You can also view the tracing information such as a specific line is executed or a specific instance request is collected from the user interface. If there are any exceptions to report to NextGen, the System Administrator can take the log files from the Log Viewer window, and provide them to the NextGen team to evaluate the error details. Open NextGen Practice Management. Select Help > About. The PM window opens. PM Window On the PM window, select All SQL Log. The Log Viewer window opens. On the Log Viewer window, select Archived Logs icon. The Select Log File window opens. Open the NextGen\LogFiles, select OrdersAutoReleaseModuleLog.log file, and then select Open. Auto Release Utility - Windows Service

The Auto Release Utility integrates with the Orders module to track future and recurring orders scheduled for sending across lab or radiology interfaces. With the Auto Release Utility, you can: Schedule an order today and set it to release after six months. Schedule an order to release at multiple intervals within six months based on your needs. The Auto Release Utility offers two installation options: Windows-based service, which automatically restarts after interruptions. Standalone mode, which operates independently. You can install only one format at a time, selecting the one that best meets your requirements.
