Mirth® Connect Administrator Overview

The Mirth® Connect Administrator is used to develop and manage all channels and can be run anywhere in relation to the Mirth® Connect server. The Mirth® Connect Administrator consists of menus and view panels that change depending on the task (for example, Dashboard, Channel, Edit Channel, Settings). Note: You no longer need to use Java Web Start. NextGen Healthcare has released a new Administrator Launcher that you can use instead. See Administrator Launcher Overview. Download the Administrator Launcher You must download the Administrator Launcher to use it to open the Administrator. Launch the Administrator After you download the Administrator Launcher, you can log on to the Mirth® Connect Administrator. Log On Use the Mirth® Connect Login window to authenticate yourself and log on to the Administrator. Mirth® Connect System Requirements

The Mirth® Connect server is a fully standalone application that does not require an application server. You do not need to install a container service like Tomcat, Glassfish, etc. The following requirements apply to any computer running the Mirth® Connect server, Command Line Interface, or Administrator. Operating System Requirements Windows XP or later macOS (OS X) 10.7 Lion or later Linux Processor (CPU) Requirements 32-bit or 64-bit x86 processor Note: Apple M1 and M2 processors are currently not fully supported. Java Requirements Mirth® Connect is written in Java and runs on any system capable of running a Java virtual machine. Install Mirth® Connect Using the Mirth Connect Installer

You can use the Mirth® Connect Installer (for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X / macOS) to install Mirth® Connect or to upgrade a previous version of the software installed on your system. You can download the Mirth® Connect Installer by logging on to your Success Community account and access the Mirth® Connect Download Central knowledge page. Mirth® Connect is also available via Docker images. See Using Docker Images for more information. Note: Graphical installer is available through the following installation files: .exe, .sh, .dmg . Access the Mirth® Connect Download Central page using the link Success Community. Choose the file with label Installer and download it. The Mirth® Connect installer downloads. Server Tab

The Server tab enables you to enter details about your ports, server memory, log levels, and view log files. The following fields are available on the Server page. Function Description Web Start Port Accesses the launch page for the Mirth® Connect Administrator. Default: 8080 Administrator Port This port is used by the Mirth Connect Administrator to communicate with the Mirth® Connect Server. Default: 8443 Server Memory (mb) The server's maximum available memory (Java max heap size). By default this is 256 MB, but for large production instances you will typically want to increase this value. Main Log Level Database Log Level Channel Log Level These fields enables you to select the applicable log level from the drop-down menus. Available options include: ERROR WARN INFO DEBUG TRACE Depending on the log level, messages of the selected level or lower will pass into that level's log when the system logs a certain-level message. Database Tab

The Database tab enables you to manage Mirth® Connect's internal database. The following fields are available on the Database tab. Function Description Type Select the database on which Mirth® Connect will store data. URL The Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) URL string associated with selected type. Username/Password The user's unique personal identifier/access code Warning: Mirth® Connect's default database, Apache Derby, is included only to help you set up quickly.
