System Preferences

System Preferences options enables you to customize system behaviors for the Mirth Connect Administrator.

The following image shows the System Preferences options available on the Administrator Settings tab. It is followed by a table that provides descriptions for the System Preferences options.

ADashboard refresh interval (seconds)The interval, in seconds, at which the Dashboard and Alerts views are refreshed. Reduce this for faster updates and increase it for servers with more channels or when you have high latency between the client and server.
BMessage browser page sizeSets the default page size for the message browser.
CEvent browser page sizeSets the default page size for the event browser.
DFormat text in message browserPretty-print XML/JSON messages in the message browser by default.
EMessage browser text search confirmationShows a confirmation dialog in the message browser when attempting a text search, warning users that the query may take a long time depending on the number of messages being searched.
FFilter/Transformer Iterator dialogShows a confirmation dialog in the filter/transformer views when dragging and dropping elements from the message tree, asking users whether to use an Iterator.
GMessage browser attachment type dialog

Shows a selection dialog in the message browser when viewing attachments to enable the user to select a specific attachment viewer.

  • If Yes is selected, the dialog enables the user to select a specific attachment viewer.
  • If No is selected, the attachment viewer is automatically chosen from the MIME type.
HReprocess/remove messages confirmationShows a confirmation dialog in the message browser when reprocessing or removing multiple messages that forces the user to type REPROCESSALL or REMOVEALL first before proceeding.
IImport code template libraries with channels

When attempting to import channels that have code template libraries linked to them:

  • Select Yes to always import the code templates libraries with channels.
  • Select No to never import code templates libraries with channels.
  • Select Ask to prompt the user each time.
JExport code template libraries with channels

When attempting to export channels that have code template libraries linked to them:

  • Select Yes to always export code templates libraries with channels.
  • Select No to never export code templates libraries with channels.
  • Select Ask to prompt the user each time.
