Launch Servers

M3 can also launch the Mirth® Connect Administrator. To launch a server: Click the checkbox next to the server you’d like to launch. Click Launch. The Mirth® Connect Web Administrator page opens launching the selected server. Parent topic: Manage Servers

The Mirth® Connect Server Manager

The Mirth® Connect Server Manager enables you to configure and access your Mirth® Connect Server. For Windows and Mac OS X version installations, the Mirth® Connect Server Manager application resides in the system tray (Windows) or in the Applications > Mirth Connect folder (Mac). Service Tab The Service tab provides an easy way to start, restart, stop, and refresh the service, rather than using the task scheduler or command line. Server Tab The Server tab enables you to enter details about your ports, server memory, log levels, and view log files. Database Tab The Database tab is where you can to manage Mirth® Connect's internal database. Mirth® Connect by NextGen Healthcare Setup Considerations

It is highly recommended that both the Advance Clustering and Advance Alerting plugins be installed on the Mirth® Connect instances. The Advance Clustering plugin will allow the user to view message statistics between the nodes and also view the health of the nodes. Together with the Advance Alerting plugin, an alert can be configured so that if any of the nodes becomes unavailable, the proper resources can be alerted. It is also recommended that Mirth® Connect version 3.6+ be installed. This is because the proper JDBC driver required to communicate with the managed Azure SQL database is not natively contained with the older versions. A work-around can be done by installing the latest Microsoft SQL driver with the older version of Mirth® Connect, but this is not recommended. Benchmark testing of both Mirth® Connect 3.5 and 3.11 was performed to identify if there are any performance issues when comparing the two versions. Using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)

You can use SNMP in network management systems to monitor network-attached devices for conditions that warrant administrative attention. To monitor your network devices, select Services > SNMP . Mirth® Connect Advanced Clustering

Mirth® Connect has the ability to run in a clustered environment to provide high availability and improved performance. Mirth® Connect is likely installed on your appliance, which means there is a Mirth® Connect entry in the Applications menu that provides access to the configuration windows for Mirth® Connect clustering. Mirth® Connect can run in a clustered environment to provide high availability and improved performance when you are using the Advanced Clustering plugin, which is available to Platinum subscribers. You can set up two appliances, previously set up with database replication and automatic failover, and the Mirth® Connect Clustering plugin, to provide a highly-available network endpoint for message processing backed by a single, highly-available database.
