M3 can also launch the Mirth® Connect Administrator. To launch a server:
- Click the checkbox next to the server you’d like to launch.
- Click Launch. The Mirth® Connect Web Administrator page opens launching the selected server.

After you download the Administrator Launcher, you can perform the following steps to launch and log on to the Mirth® Connect Administrator. Using the Server Manager: On Windows/Linux, you can launch the Mirth® Connect Administrator using the Administrator button in the bottom-left corner of the Mirth® Connect Server Manager - Server page. Using the launch web page: Open a web browser and navigate to your launch page. This is usually http://localhost:8080 or https://localhost:8443, though you may need to edit the IP or port depending on your settings. Mirth® Connect Administrator Launcher Installation Guide
You can use the Administrator graphical user interface (GUI) to log on to a Mirth® Connect server and create, modify, and deploy channels. In previous versions, this GUI opened on your local desktop with Java Web Start technology. However, Java 11 and later versions have completely removed Java Web Start technology. The login window indicates if there is any issue: Login window with error displayed. If you do not have connectivity from your local machine to the Mirth® Connect server over the HTTPS port (default 8443), you will see the following: Warning: There was an error connecting to the server at specified address. Please verify that the server is up and running. Make sure the URL you are using is correct, and verify whether you have network connectivity to the server. Verify that the Mirth® Connect server is actually running. If you installed as a service, you can view the current status from the Server Manager. M3 must be installed on a Mirth Appliance. To install, check for Software Updates on the appliance by navigating to System > Software Updates or click the "Check for Updates" link on the Mirth Appliance dashboard: Once the M3 update is installed, "Mirth M3" will appear in the list of applications on the Appliance. In the Mirth Appliance navigation bar, Go to Applications > Application Control. To start M3, click the "Start" button for Mirth M3 in Applications Control.
