Monitoring Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare Component Status

The Monitoring window enables to you to view the status of your appliance's components. Three status indicators appear at the top of the Control Panel window: PS: power supply HD: hard drive LB: load balancing Monitoring section of Control Panel The color indicates the status of the component: Table 1. Icon color Meaning Green Item is functioning as normal. Yellow Warning. Item may require attention. Red Failure Dark (does not display green, yellow, or red) The appliance cannot monitor the item. For example, the LB indicator appears dark if you only have one Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare and are not running in a load balanced environment. If an indicator is not green, you can select it to view information about the problem. You can integrate a Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare with your organization’s monitoring infrastructure to take advantage of existing alert and support systems. System Menu

You can perform Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare system administration with the System menu on the Control Panel web application. Note: No special operating system or command line knowledge is necessary to perform any of the functions in the System menu. Applications Menu

The Applications menu enables you to configure the Control Panel and any applications installed on the appliance. The Control Panel and each installed application appears in the menu, with a sub-menu enabling you to open and/or manage the application. You can also do these tasks directly from the Applications Control window. It is likely that you have Mirth® Connect installed as one of your applications. The sub-menus for Mirth® Connect contain some extra choices, including Clustering. See Mirth Connect Advanced Clustering for more information. Applications Control The Applications Control window displays a list including the Control Panel and all installed applications. Use the Help Menu

Help provides you with access to a variety of help resources for using and managing the appliance. Use the Help menu to access a variety of help resources for using and managing the Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare. It also provides some support for Mirth® Connect. Help menu Select Help and one of the following: Select Documentation to access links to the documents related to the appliance. Select Downloads to download files related to the Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare. The Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare SNMP MIB is the management information base for managing the Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare using SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol). Select Contact Support to access links for NextGen Healthcare Support. When contacting support, have your appliance serial number ready. Viewing and Managing Users

You can view and manage users or configure the ability to log on to the Control Panel using accounts from an external LDAP server. Select System > Users to access the Appliance Users window. On this window, you can add, edit, or delete users. You can also configure the users' ability to log on to the Control Panel by using accounts from an external LDAP server. Edit or Delete a User You can change a user’s details or delete their account. External LDAP Authentication You can use external LDAP server credentials to log on to the Control Panel. Folders Menu

The Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare Control Panel enables easy file management of user accessible folders (directories) using the Folders menu. Select the Browse menu item to access the file manager. Select the Network Folders menu item to manage network folders. Browse, View, and Manage User-Accessible Directories You can view and manage user-accessible folders (directories).
