Forms and Labels can be created in File Maintenance and then printed for an individual patient, or for multiple patients in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can set up a default sort order for Forms or Label Templates, which will be applied during previewing or batch printing.
- Open File Maintenance.
- From the Master Files section, select System , then select PM, and then select either Forms or Label Templates.
The Forms List or Label Templates List window appears.
- From the list, double-click to open the desired Form or Label Template.
The Form Design or Label Design window appears.
- From the design toolbar, select the Template Sorting Preference
button.
The Template Sorting Preference window appears. All data fields included on the form or label are listed in the Available Data Fields section.
- Select the data field from the Available Data Fields list, and then select the left and right arrow buttons to add or remove data fields to the Selected Data Fields section to be used in the default sort order for printing.
Note: You can select a maximum of five data fields for the default sort order criteria.
- In the Selected Data Fields list, use the up and down arrows to arrange the fields in the desired sort order for printing.
- To save changes and close the window, select OK.
