Change the Default Sort Order when Printing in Batch Mode

Batch mode printing in NextGen® Enterprise PM allows you to change the default sort order of the data fields selected in the Form and Label Template Master Files according to your preference.

Printing in batch mode from Encounters Lookup is used to demonstrate the setup, which applies to both form and label templates.
  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
  2. From the main menu, select Tasks > Lookup > Encounters or from the main toolbar, select Encounter "".
  3. In the Encounter Lookup window, enter the appropriate criteria and select Find.
  4. In the search results, select the checkboxes for the appropriate patient records.
  5. After selecting the records, right-click and select Print > Forms.
  6. In the Print Forms window, select the applicable form template from the Template drop-down list.
  7. Select Template Sorting, and then the Open Record  "" button.
  8. In The Template Sorting Preference window, select the up and down arrows to change the sorting order of the default data fields.
  9. Select OK.
  10. Select Preview on the Print Forms window.
    The records that are selected are displayed based on the sort order of the selected data fields, and they are printed in that same order.
