From the main toolbar, select
Lookup
or
Chart
.
In the lookup window, enter your search criteria, and then select
Find
.
To search for accounts, in
Account Lookup
, enter your search criteria, and then select
Find
.
In
Account List
, the person and employer accounts appear.
In
Account List
, double-click a person account.
In
Account Profile
, select the open menu
icon, and then select
Set Active Account
.
The current account is set as the active account.
Optional:
To access active accounts, in
Account Profile
, select the open menu
icon, and then select
Access Active Account
.
The active account icon
appears in the
Account Profile
window, and the active account becomes the current account.

Add, Edit, and Delete Account Notes
You can add, edit, delete, and view notes attached to an account. You can attach additional notes, review history, and view and edit the following on the Notes tab. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the menu, select Tasks > Lookup > Accounts. In Account Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. In Account List, select the account, and then select Open. In the Account Profile window, select the Notes tab. In Account Notes, double-click the necessary note, right-click and select New, enter the information, and then select OK.The information is added as a note. To view, edit, and delete a note, double-click the necessary note, right-click and then select the appropriate option. Optional: To enter and save the patient credit card information for payment processing, in the Account Profile window, select the Credit Card on File tab, and then select the necessary option. Note: The Credit Card on File tab appears only if the Save Credit Card Token ID on file option is turned on

Create an Employer Account from Employer Lookup
Before you begin For statement or invoice billing, you must create the employer in the Employers master file in File Maintenance. The application automatically creates an employer account when the employer is selected as the guarantor on a patient encounter for the first time. However, you can manually create an employer account so you can select that employer as the guarantor on a patient encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the menu, select Tasks > Lookup > Employers. In Employer Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. In Matching Records, right-click an employer, and then select Open. In the Employer Maintenance window, verify and, if needed, update demographics, billing address, and contact information. To create the employer account, select Account.The Account Profile window opens and displays the new employer account. Set Active Status for Accounts
An account set as the active account is available for quick access when you work with other account profiles. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup > Accounts. The Account Lookup window opens. To search for a person account, enter the search criteria data, and then select Find. You can use different combinations of the search criteria to search for a person's account. Accounts that match the search criteria, appear in the Account List section. Double-click a person account. Access Active Accounts
You can select an active account from the toolbar of the current account. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup > Accounts. The Account Lookup window opens. To search for an account, enter the search criteria data, and then select Find You can use different combinations of the search criteria to search for a person's account. Create a Person Account from an Existing Record
To create a person account, the person must have an existing demographic record, or a new demographic must be created. The application automatically creates a person account when the person is selected as the guarantor on a patient encounter for the first time, which generates account statements and invoice bills, including encounters with outstanding self-pay balances. An account guarantor is a person or business responsible for the charges remaining in a patient's account after all the parties have paid their share. An account guarantor is a patient, family member, person whose insurance is being billed, or an employer. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the main toolbar, select Lookup or Chart. In the lookup window, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. To open the patient or person information, right-click the name in the Matching Records list, and then select Open. Verify and, if needed, update the patient demographics, billing address, and contact information. Select A
