Send an Encounter Collection Letter

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
  2. Select Chart.
    The Patient Lookup window opens.
  3. Enter search criteria to locate the desired patient.
  4. Select Find.
    All existing persons and patients that match the search criteria entered display in the Matching Records section of the window.
  5. In the Matching Records list, double-click to open the patient.
    The Patient Chart window opens.
  6. Select the Encounters tab.
  7. From the Encounters list on the left, open the desired encounter.
    The Encounter Maintenance window opens.
  8. Select the Billing & Collections tab.
  9. Select the letter in the Collection Letter field.
    The Send Collection Letter check box is automatically selected. The letter is included in the next batch of Encounter Collection Letters.
  10. To save changes and close the window, select OK.
