Persons, Patients, and Enterprise Chart

A person, a patient, and a patient enrolled in Enterprise Chart. are identified as follows: The Globe icon displays for people who do not have a chart. The Folder icon displays for people or patients with a chart. The Folder with a Small Globe icon displays for people or patients enrolled in Enterprise Chart. Matching Records for Patient or People Lookup

When you enter your search criteria on the Patient Lookup or People Lookup window and select Find, records of people and patients that match appear in the Matching Records section. You can scroll right or left to view more information for each person or patient. From the matching records section of the window, you can do the following: Use the Patient icon to open the Patient Chart for the desired Patient. Use Person Icon to open the Add Patient Information window for the desired Person. Use the right-click option for a patient or person to view all the available actions. Search for a Person or Patient

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup > Charts. The Patient Lookup window opens. To search for a patient, enter the search criteria data. You can use different combinations of the search criteria to search for a patient. Select Find. People and patient records that match the search criteria, appear in the display in the Matching Records section. NextGen® Enterprise PM displays different icons for persons, patients, and patients enrolled in Enterprise Chart. The globe People icon icon indicates people who do not have a chart. The folder Patient icon icon indicates people or patients with a chart. The folder with a small globe People or Patients with an enterprise chart icon indicates people or patients enrolled in Enterprise Chart. Patient Lookup Window Note: To prevent creation of duplicate records, it is suggested to use a different criteria for performing the patient search if the desired person or patient is not found. Enroll a Patient in Enterprise Chart

From the main toolbar in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Lookup. In the Patient Lookup window, do one of the following:. For a new patient, select New. For an existing patient, search for and select the patient record, select the open menu icon, and then select Open. In the Add Patient Information or Modify Patient Information window, enter or update the information as needed. Select the Enterprise Chart checkbox. Select OK. The patient is enrolled in Enterprise Chart. Note: For a patient newly enrolled in Enterprise Chart, you may need to reopen the patient's chart to view information from other practices.
