Change the Patient Linked to an Appointment

You can remove the current patient linked to the appointment and link a new patient to the same event at the scheduled time. Select the appointment to change the linked patient, and double-click to open the Edit Appointment window. Select the open menu button next to the patient's name and select Clear Patient. A message appears asking you to confirm if you want to delete the linked patient. Select OK to remove the incorrect patient from the appointment. To add the correct patient to the appointment, select the open menu button and select Lookup. The People Lookup window opens. Do one of the following: To select an existing person or patient for the appointment, enter the appropriate search criteria and then select Find. Update Patient Demographics from an Appointment

You can update or change the patient demographics information even after scheduling the appointment from the Edit Appointment window. Select the appointment to update the patient information, and double-click to open the Edit Appointment window. Select the open menu button next to the patient's name and select Lookup. The Update Patient Information window opens. Update the patient demographics information as needed. Select OK to save changes and close the window. The Edit Appointment window reopens. Modify Appointment Details

You can modify the appointment and reschedule if needed. Select the appointment to be modified, and double-click to open the Edit Appointment window. Make the modifications to the appointment as needed. Select OK to save changes and close the window. If any of the following fields are modified, the change is considered a reschedule: Date Time Event Duration Resource Location Patient The Appointment Rescheduling Reasonwindow opens. Modify an Individual Appointment Created from a Group Appointment

You can modify an individual patient appointment that was created when a group appointment was scheduled. Any modifications made to an individual appointment does not update other patient appointments associated with the same group appointment. Access the Appointment Book. From the Daily, Weekly List, Weekly Schedule or Multi-View view, select an individual appointment that was scheduled as part of a group appointment. Select the group appointment. Select the individual appointment you want to update. Right-click and then select Open > Appointment. The Edit Appointment window opens. The name of the Patient Group displays in brackets at the top of the window. Modify the appointment as needed. Select OK. If the appointment is part of a recurring series and you changed the Date, Time, Event, Duration, Resources, or Service Location, the appointment is removed from the recurring series.
