Graph a Report
After generating a report, you can graph the report to see the report data in a graphical format.
Select the
Graph Report
button on the Report toolbar.
The report graph window opens.
In the
Select row for the graph
field, from the drop-down list, select one of the rows from your report to use as your X axis.
In the
Select column for the graph
field, from the drop-down list, select one of the columns from your report to use as your Y axis.
Select
Graph
.
A graph of the report appears.
At this point, you can do one of the following:you can select from the two toolbar buttons that display on the graph window:
Print
or
Exit
.
You can select

You can right-click to display the Chart Formatting shortcut menu.

Graph a Report
After generating a report, you can graph the report to see the report data in a graphical format. Select the Graph Report button on the Report toolbar. The report graph window opens. Formatting a Report Graph
After you convert your report data into a graph, you can format the graph using the shortcut menu. Note: Each time you generate a report, the toolbar appears. That does not mean that you can create a graph for every report. Some reports are not compatible for graphing. The selections available on the Graph Formatting shortcut menu are: Menu Choice Description Chart Designer Using the Chart Designer, you can format everything from the source of chart (pie, bar, etc.) to the labels and pictures you want included. Edit Chart Data Selecting Editing Chart Data displays the Edit Chart Data window so that you can edit the number totals that are affecting your graph. Wizard If you are not sure how to set up the graph, try using the Chart Wizard. The Chart Wizard leads you through, with examples, how to format the graph exactly as you like. Use the Chart Wizard
The Chart Wizard is the same as using the Chart Designer with the major difference being that the Wizard leads you through the process. Right-click anywhere on the chart and select Chart Wizard. The Gallery window opens. A gallery of chart examples appears. You can select from two dimensional (2D) or three dimensional (3D). Select one of the images from the Gallery and then select Next. The Style window opens with samples of styles to choose. Select the style you like for your chart and then select Next. The Layout window opens. In the Layout window you can specify the following: In the Chart Title field, enter the title for your chart. In the Chart Footnote field, you can enter a chart footnote, if needed. In the Chart Legend field, from the drop-down list, you can select one of the following options: None Left Right Top Bottom In the Series Data along field, you can select either Rows or Cols (columns). After the report is in a graph, you can format the graph using the Chart Designer. To format a graph, right-click on the graph and select Chart Designer from the menu to access the Chart Configuration window.
