Use the Chart Wizard

The Chart Wizard is the same as using the Chart Designer with the major difference being that the Wizard leads you through the process.

  1. Right-click anywhere on the chart and select Chart Wizard.
    The Gallery window opens.

    A gallery of chart examples appears. You can select from two dimensional (2D) or three dimensional (3D).

  2. Select one of the images from the Gallery and then select Next.
    The Style window opens with samples of styles to choose.

  3. Select the style you like for your chart and then select Next.
    The Layout window opens.

  4. In the Layout window you can specify the following:
    1. In the Chart Title field, enter the title for your chart.
    2. In the Chart Footnote field, you can enter a chart footnote, if needed.
    3. In the Chart Legend field, from the drop-down list, you can select one of the following options:
      • None
      • Left
      • Right
      • Top
      • Bottom
    4. In the Series Data along field, you can select either Rows or Cols (columns).
  5. Under the Series Data along label, select Next.
    The Axes window opens.

  6. In the Category (X) field, enter the label for your X axis.
  7. You can enter the label for your Y axis in the Value (Y) field.
  8. If your chart has a Z or Secondary Y (Y2) axes, you can enter the labels for those in their respect fields.
  9. Select Finish.
    The graph displays, ready for you to print.
