VeriFone Credit Card Processing Preferences Configuration - TSYS Express

Configuration for credit card processing using the VeriFone device involves data set up in Enterprise, Practice, and User preferences. To configure the VeriFone device, perform these procedures in the following order. Credit Card on File - TSYS Express Processing

TSYS Express processing enables you to store a credit card on file for patient payments by utilizing a unique token ID. This feature expedites the payment process for patients who use a credit card, or FSA/HSA card for payment. All card data is stored on the Account Profile window > Credit Card on File tab. More than one credit card can be stored on the patient's account in NextGen® Enterprise PM Only one credit card can be active A blue push-pin displays on the Credit Card on File tab of the Account Profile window when an active credit card is on file for a patient. All electronic credit card and Echeck payments for clients using TSYS Express must go through the VeriFone device or the TSYS Express webform. The VeriFone device enables you to accept electronic payments when you have an active connection to the internet. You can make electronic credit card and eCheck payments in the following ways: Swipe or insert a credit card on the VeriFone device Key data into the VeriFone device Utilize the Card on File function For details on printing a credit card receipt on the Payment Entry window, see Print a Credit Card Receipt. TSYS Express Payment Processing

Processing electronic transactions through the TSYS Express platform enables you to do the following: Store credit card token IDs. Send the user ID of the NextGen user processing the payment. Process the Discover, Mastercard, American Express, or Visa credit card payments through the VeriFone card reader device. Apply credit card payments using the TSYS webform (no device needed). Add credit card on file to the patient's account. Create a task for credit card expiration. User Preferences can include both the No Device configuration and the VeriFone device configuration. Process a Credit Card on File Payment for TSYS Express using a VeriFone Device

Before you begin Before you can process a patient's payment, you must activate a batch. You can enter the payment information on the Payment Entry window only after activating the batch. TSYS Express enables you to process an electronic payment using a credit card on file for a patient. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Posting.The Batch Posting window opens. Select the relevant patient or enter the encounter number. Do the following: In the Payer field, select Patient. In the Pay Amt field, enter the amount. In the Pay Code field, select the required transaction code. Note: The default transaction code does not appear if you select the Override Credit Card Payment Default Transaction Code check box in the Payment Processing preference on the Practice Preference window. In the Pay column, enter the dollar amount of the payment. Note: The CC Pay button appears when you enter all the information required for making the payment. Select CC Pay and select Card on File.
