Enhanced Reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM

An Enhanced Reporting feature can be enabled to improve the system performance for specific reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM. These are reports that are typically database intensive when they are generated due to the large amount of data being reported. When enabled, a new user interface and paging mechanism is utilized that allows these reports to be generated, viewed, printed and exported in a timelier manner. Enable Enhanced Reporting

Enhanced Reporting is enabled for select reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM from Practice Preferences > Reports. Access Practice Preferences. In the Preference List on the left, select Reports. To enable enhanced reporting, select the Use enhanced reporting with paging. In the Maximum records to display on screen field, select the maximum number of data records to display on the screen per page when an enhanced report is generated. The default value is 25. In the Enhanced Report Selection field, select or deselect the desired reports individually, or right-click and choose Select All or Deselect All from the menu. Note: If Use enhanced reporting with paging is selected, then this field is required. If no reports are selected, the following prompts displays when the OK button is selected: No enhanced report was selected. Please select at least one enhanced report. Daily Balancing for the Front Office and Back Office

The application provides reports that can help you perform daily balancing for: Front Office charges and payments Back Office (Batch) charges and payments Daily Balancing for the Front Office (Front Desk) involves: Accounting for all kept appointments - the Kept Appointments with No Charges report Balancing charges entered to fee tickets - the Daily Charges report Balancing payments and/or bank deposits (active batch) - the Daily Payments report Encounters with No Charges Appointment No shows Daily Balancing for batches (the back office) includes: Balancing a batch of charges in NextGen® Enterprise PM to the group of fee tickets issued for the day - the Daily Charges report by Creator, Amount, or Count. Configuration Options for Enhanced Reports

When an enhanced report is selected from the Reports menu in NextGen® Enterprise PM, the Configuration Options window opens. The window has a different look-and-feel from the Report Filter window that opens for non-enhanced reports. Though the windows look different, their functionality is basically the same. The various Configuration Options available for the selected report are listed on the left side of the window. By default, the Columns configuration is displayed when the window first opens. From any Configuration Option listed on the left, the following buttons are available at the bottom of the window: Save Report Options: Select the button to memorize, or save, the current configuration options for the report. Refresh Report: Select the button to generate the report using the current configuration options. Close: Select the button to close the current configuration options window. The Accounts Receivable reports category includes various reports that you can use to review financial information for patients and guarantor accounts in your practice. The reports can help you monitor and manage outstanding A/R and assist with your internal billing and collections processes in NextGen® Enterprise PM.
