Set up AutoFlow User Preferences

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preferences > User > General. The User Preferences window opens. Select the AutoFlow tab. To select the AutoFlow Sequences for check-in and check-out, in the respective sections, do the following: In the <All Locations> row, select the AutoFlow Sequence you use at all locations in the practice. In the location specific rows, select the sequence you use at each location in the practice, if different from the <All Locations> sequence. Note: A location-specific sequence overrides the <All Locations> sequence. Select OK to save the changes and close the window. Note: User-level settings override practice-level settings. From the Master Files - System list, select Autoflow Sequences. The AutoFlow Sequences List window opens. Do one of the following: To add a new item, select open menu , and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select open menu , and then select Open. You can also double-click to open the item. The Autoflow Sequence Information window displays the items that are included in the flow. The Form Templates section, Label Templates section, or both display if you add Print Forms or Print Labels to the Screen/Item list. To add or remove items from the Screen/Item list, select to change the selections, and then select OK. To add an item, select it in the Available list, then select . The item moves from the Available list to the Included list. To remove an item, select it in the Included list, then select . The item moves from the Included list to the Available list. You must create an AutoFlow Sequences master file for each AutoFlow sequence that the practice uses. AutoFlow sequences enable you to set the sequence for a series of actions that process encounters for patient check-in and check-out. After you create the AutoFlow sequences, you must assign them to each practice location in Practice Preferences or User Preferences. Access File Maintenance. Select System Master Files, then PM, and then AutoFlow Sequences. The AutoFlow Sequences List window opens. By adding NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment workflow to AutoFlow Sequence, you can ensure that the patient is enrolled to NextGen® PxP Portal during check-in or check-out in NextGen® Enterprise PM. AutoFlow Sequences

AutoFlow sequences define a set series of windows that users follow when performing the check-in and check-out processes. You can create AutoFlow sequences for the: Practice - All users in the Practice use the same sequence Location - All users within a Location in the Practice use a different sequence User -Specific user(s) in the Practice use a different sequence Note: There are pre-existing (Check-In Default) and (Check-Out Default) sequences for each Practice.
