Apply the Patient Preferred Name to Correspondence

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
  2. On the main toolbar, select Chart, and then in Patient Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find.
    Matching people and patient records appear in the search results.
  3. In Matching Records, select a patient record , and then select Open.
    The Patient Information tab opens in the Patient Chart window.
  4. Select the Chart Details tab, and then select the open record icon.
  5. In Chart Details, select the Use Preferred Name on Correspondence checkbox, and then select OK.
    The preferred name appears on the following:
    • Standard statement
    • Budget statement
    • Itemized statement
    • Detailed statement
    • Summary statement
    • NextGen® Background Business Processor statement
    • Statement run report
    • Budget statement report
    • Fee tickets
    • Patient data sheet and patient data sheet detail
    • Addressee header of the budget letter, demand encounter letter, and demand account letter
