Access an Archived Claim from the Encounter Claim Request Window

When searching for an archived claim for a particular patient use this procedure. You can search on information in the patient's profile such as: name, address, social security number, medical record number, person number, phone numbers, or location. Select the Chart icon. On the Patient Lookup window, enter the desired search criteria and select Find. The Patient Lookup window opens. Double-click the Name of the patient. The Patient's Chart window opens. In the Encounters section, select an encounter, right-click and select Claims. The Encounter Claims Request window opens. Parent topic: Archived Claims

View an Archived Encounter Collection Letter

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Chart. The Patient Lookup window opens. Enter search criteria to search the desired patient. Select Find. All existing persons and patients that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. In the Matching Records list, double-click to open the patient. The Patient Chart window opens. Select the Clinical History/Notes tab. Select the Demand Encounter folder. Display the Date/Time, Creator, Letter Name, and Description fields for each archived encounter collection letter. Select the desired letter, and then double-click to open the letter. The Letter Preview window opens. Note: You cannot print archived letters. Therefore, the Print Dialog and Quick Print fields are not available on the Letter Preview toolbar. Before you begin Submit a claim status request for an encounter. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, do one of the following to open the Encounter Lookup window. On the toolbar, select Encounter. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup > Encounters. The Encounter Lookup window opens. Enter the search criteria to find the desired encounters and select Find.
