Create Rentals for Patients

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup.. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria, appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. Under Patient Information, select Rental Information, and then select the open menu Select New. The Rental Information window opens. To select the SIM code for the rental, in Rental Devices, select open folder Open Folder icon and select the SIM code you want to apply to the rental. The SIM code appears in the Rental Devices section. Enter the serial number of the rental device in Serial Number(s). Select the Rental Limit tracking frequency from the following: Enter the time frame, return date, and next billing date in the Rental Limit Tracking. Managing Patient Information in charts

The Patient Information tab in the patient chart displays information entered in the Add Patient window. You can use the Patient Information tab for the following: Checking if the patient is a veteran, smoker, or deceased. Adding or viewing the patient's picture. Printing a demand statement from the patient chart. Finding the NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment status. Viewing the demographics, relationships, chart details, providers, case management, and rental information for the selected patient. Viewing Patient Demographics Information You can view demographics, patient status, and client-defined information for the patient in the Demographics tab under Patient Information on the patient chart. Adding Patient Relationships, Contact, or Guarantor Information You can use the patient relationships or contact or guarantor information to add or modify relationships of the patient. Add Device Rental Information to a Patient Chart

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart, and then in Patient Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. Matching people and patient records appear in the search results. In Matching Records, select a patient record , and then select Open. The Patient Information tab opens in the Patient Chart window. Select the Rental Information tab, select the open menu icon, and then select New. In the Rental Information window, under Rental Devices, select the open folder icon, and then select the applicable SIM code. In Serial Number(s), enter the rental device serial number. Select from the Rental Limit tracking option, and then enter the other necessary information. Note: In Rental Information Tracking report, you can view all the rental information and its associated encounters. Optional: Select the necessary encounters to use rental information. Select a provider from the Rendering list, and then in Notes, enter additional information. Note: You can delete

Enter Recurring Rental Charges

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Charges. The Charge Posting window opens. Select the desired patient and the In Progress encounter. Select New. Select the Recurring Rental Billing icon on the Charge Posting toolbar. The Rental Information Listing window opens. To add a rental, select New. The Rental Information window opens. Note: For new rentals, select New. If it is a new encounter in an existing series, select the appropriate rental record from the list. In the Rental Devices section, select Open Record and then select the SIM code you want to apply to the rental. Select Serial Number(s), and then enter the serial number of the rental device. In the Rental Limit Tracking section, enter the time frame information, next billing date, and equipment return date. Select Rendering, and then select the rendering physician from the list. In the Encounters Utilizing this Rental Information section, the application automatically fills the Encounter and Encounter Date. Select Notes, and th

Open the Patient Information Bar in Charge Posting

Before you begin Practice and user preferences must be set in charge posting to enable the Patient Information Bar. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the main toolbar, select Charges. The Charge Posting window opens displaying the Patient Information Bar. The Patient Information Bar does not display any information until a patient is selected. Patient information bar in charge posting Search for and select the patient and encounter to record charges. The information for the selected patient displays in the Patient Information Bar. Note: If you access the Charge Posting window from the Appointment Book or Encounters tab of the chart, the patient data automatically appears in the Patient Information Bar.
