Viewing the Patient Information Bar

To use the Patient Information Bar in NextGen® Enterprise PM, you must configure the Practice Preferences. For more information on configuring Practice Preferences for the Patient Information Bar, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest File Maintenance Preferences Guide forNextGen®Enterprise, and then see the Patient Information Bar Preferences section. The chart user preferences must be set up to enable the Patient Information Bar to appear on the patient chart during charge posting and payment entry in NextGen® Enterprise PM. User preferences override the practice preferences. Open the Patient Information Bar in the Patient Chart You can open the Patient Information Bar in the patient chart. Viewing Hidden Payers Information

In the Insurance Listing section on the Demographics tab, you can display the hidden payers by selecting the Show Hidden check box. When you clear the selection, the hidden payers are not displayed in Insurance Listing. Note: The Show Hidden check box is not selected by default. You can perform the following actions related to hidden insurance: Displaying hidden payers- In the Insurance Listing section, the hidden payers are displayed after unhidden payers. If there are employer insurances, the hidden payers are displayed after the employer insurances. Note: When a new payer is marked as hidden, it appears at the end in the list of hidden payers. Promoting or Demoting hidden payers- You can promote and demote hidden payers only within the group of hidden payers. Note: If you attempt to promote the hidden payers above the unhidden payers,a warning message appears stating that a hidden insurance cannot be promoted above unhidden insurances. Patient Information Bar

You can quickly view a patient’s general, demographic, and encounter-based information through the Patient Information Bar as you work in the patient chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The information includes patient alerts, appointments, insurance, balances, NextGen® PxP Portal status, and recall plans. Viewing the Patient Information Bar You can configure the Patient Information Bar to appear or be hidden in the Patient Chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM and customize the patient information that appear on the patient information bar. Employer Insurance Information

When you select Insurance on the Employer Maintenance window, the Employer Insurance Association Listing window displays the list of insurance. In the Insurance Listing section, you can display the hidden payers by selecting the Show Hidden check box. When you clear the selection, the hidden payers are not displayed in Insurance Listing. Hide Insurance Information

You can hide the insurance information on a patient's chart in scenarios such as an incorrect insurance added to a patient's chart. In the Insurance Listing section of the Demographics tab, select the Open Menu and then select Hide Insurance. The Hide Insurance icon displays next to the insurer's name.
