Patient Encounters and Financial History

Patient Encounters and Financial History Patient Encounters and Financial History This section provides information on encounters and the financial history associated with an encounter. Viewing Financial Information You can view a patient's financial history, encounters, and payments in the Financial tab of the patient chart. Viewing Clinical History and Notes Information You can use the Clinical History/Notes tab to view encounter and chart related information. Viewing General Information in Encounters You can use the General tab under Encounters to view detailed information for a selected encounter. Viewing Insurance Information in Encounters You can view a patient's insurance information in the insurance tab. Viewing Transactions Information in Encounters You can view detailed information of transactions for a selected encounter using the Transactions tab under Encounters. Viewing Notes Information in Encounters You can use the Note tab under Encounters to add, delete, and view note

Viewing Encounters by Date or Number

The General tab under Encounters in the patient's chart lists all encounters for the patient in the Encounters section. Depending on the Encounter List Default Display settings in Chart tab under General User Preferences tab, you can view the encounters using any of the following options: Encounter Date Lists the encounters by date. You can select the Encounter Date check box to display encounters by number. Encounter Number Lists the encounters by number. You can select the Encounter Number check box to display encounters by number. Both Lists the encounter by number and date. Select both the Encounter Number and Encounter Date check boxes lists the encounter by number and date. Note: At least one check box must be selected by default. View Group Encounters in the Patient Chart

In the Patient Chart, encounters that were created from a group encounter can be identified by their associated Patient Group Information. Access the Patient Chart. Select the Encounters tab and then the General sub-tab. From the Encounters list, select an encounter that was created from a group encounter. Viewing Case Management Information in Encounters

You can view cases linked to an encounter in the Case Mgmt tab under Encounters. You can do the following in the Case Mgmt tab: Open all existing cases for the patient. Create a case for the selected encounter. Open the existing case for the selected encounter. Clear the existing case from the selected encounter. Patient Chart > Encounters Tab

Access the Patient Chart. Select the Encounters tab. In the Encounters list on the left, select any encounter. Right-click and select Recall. The Patient Recall window displays existing recalls for the patient. Parent topic: Print an Individual Recall Letter
