Stop a Recall Automatically

A patient’s Recall Plan is automatically stopped by the system when all appointment criteria defined on the Recall Plan Maintenance window have been met prior to the patient’s expected return date.

In the example below, a patient’s recall for a yearly physical automatically stops when the patient either schedules or keeps an appointment for a Complete Physical Exam (event) with Dr. John Smith (resource) at the Main Office (location) before 07/15/2017 (return date).

Whether the recall plan stops when the appointment is scheduled or kept is dependent on the Which appointment status should discontinue participation in this plan? setting in File Maintenance.

• Kept: The recall plan stops automatically when the appointment is kept.
• Scheduled: The recall plan stops automatically when the appointment is scheduled.
• None: The recall plan does not automatically stop.
