Configure a Practice for Payment Processing

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin > Preference > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. Select Payment Processing. In the Credit Card Processor field, select InstaMed. Do the following to configure payment processing for a single outlet ID in NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed : Enter the SSO password provided by NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed. Enter the swipe MID number provided by NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed. This number is attached to all swiped credit card transactions. Enter the non-swipe MID number provided by NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed. This number is attached to all credit card transactions when a card is not present or when you key the number into the system. Enter the terminal ID and the store ID provided by NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed for your practice. Set Up Multiple Profiles and Outlet IDs for Payment Processing

To set up multiple outlet IDs for credit card processing use the following procedure. Up to fifty (50) outlet IDs can be added to a profile. In the Practice Preferences window, select Payment Processing. The Payment Processing options display. In the Credit Card Processor field, select InstaMed. Select Outlet IDs. The InstaMed Configuration window opens. Enter a new profile name in the New Profile Name field and then select Add. Note: You can enter a desired and recognizable name for the practice. A message box appears stating that a new configuration has been added to the combo box and the new profile is added to the Profile list. Select OK. On the InstaMed Configuration window, complete the following fields: Description (required) - enter a description for the device, for example Front Desk - Ingenico. Set Up Practice Preferences for Credit Card Processors

You can enable credit card processing for your practice using the Payment Processing preference on the Practice Preferences window. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin > Preferences > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. Select Payment Processing from the Preference List. Select Enable Credit Card Processing to activate credit card processing for your practice. Select Allow partial credit on credit card payments to process partial refund amounts that are less than the original credit card payment to the patients. Note: If you do not select this option, users can only credit the full amount of the original credit card transaction. On the Payment Entry window, the CC Amt and Pay fields display the full amount of the original transaction and cannot be changed. Select Save Credit Card Token ID on file to save credit card data as a unique token ID. Select Auto Pay Collection Process for automatic collection of payments. Set Up Unique MIDs for Users

Use the User Preferences window to set up unique MID for every user. You can set up the unique MID when there are no profiles created in the Practice Preferences window. In NextGen® Enterprise PM select Admin > Preferences > User > General > Payment Processing tab. The Payment Processing tab on the User Preferences window opens. User Preference window Select the following details on the Payment Processing tab of the User Preferences window. Swipe MID: Select the swipe MID number provided by NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed. This number will be attached to all swiped credit card transactions. Terminal ID: Select the terminal ID for your practice. If left blank, the application populates this field with 0001. Set Up User Preferences for Credit Card Processing

You may setup and add a profile to each user who will be processing credit card payments. The profile configuration is generated from the information entered on the InstaMed Configuration window in Practice Preferences Payment Processing. The profile that is selected for the user will be the user's default profile. Select Admin > Preferences > User > General > Payment Processing tab. The Payment Processing tab on the User Preferences window opens. To link a workstation with a profile, under Credit Card Profiles, select the open menu button and then select New. The User Credit Card Profiles Setup window opens. In the Profiles field, select the applicable profiles and then select Save. The Profile configuration is added to the Credit Card Profiles list. Note: Only one profile can be active at a time for a user.
