Print or Export Batch Budget Statements

To generate budget statements in NextGen® Enterprise PM, the Budget Communication method must be set to Budget Statements in Practice Preferences > Budget Accounts. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the File menu, select Print Forms, and then Budget Statements. The Budget Statement Generation window opens. The Budget Statement Options settings are the pre-defined settings in Practice Preferences > Budget Accounts. Review the default Budget Statement Options settings and make modifications, if needed. Do one of the following: To preview the budget statements prior to printing or exporting, select Preview. To print the budget statements, select Print. To create an ASCII export file and to send it to the third-party vendor for processing (printing and mailing), select Export. Select the Update Budget Dates check box. A confirmation message appears stating that the statements are printed or exported correctly. If all budget statements in the batch are printed or exported correctly, select

Setting Up Budget Plans

For budget plans in NextGen® Enterprise PM, you must set up the following in File Maintenance. You can set up Budget Plans using Budget Letters. Practice Preferences > Budget Accounts File Maintenance > PM Practice Master Files > Letters Note: You can create budget letters in File Maintenance in multiple languages and then printed in NextGen® Enterprise PM based on the Correspondence Language selected in the patient's demographics. Budget Plans

A budget plan is a financial arrangement made between the practice and an account guarantor. In this arrangement, the guarantor agrees to make the scheduled payments against their outstanding balance until the balance is paid in full. There are two methods for billing accounts on budget plans, Budget Letters and Budget Statements. Each practice must decide the method of billing as it directly impacts the required setup. Setting Up Budget Plans You can set up Budget Plans in File Maintenance. Add a Perpetual Budget Plan to an Account You can use the Budget tab under the Account Profile window to add a perpetual budget plan to an account. Add a Non-Perpetual Budget Plan to an Account You can use the Budget tab on an Account Profile window to add a non-perpetual budget tab to the account. Budget Accounts Practice Preferences

The Budget Accounts Practice Preferences enable you to set up default parameters for budget plans for your practice. Budget Communication: You can select the method of communication your practice will use to create budget related notifications. Budget Letters: This option enables NextGen® Enterprise PM menu, File > Print Forms > Letters > Budget Letters. Budget letters communicate information about a plan in a separate letter. If you select this method, you can select the default letters to print for budget plans. You can select a default letter template for each type of letter. When you print these letter types in NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can choose to use the default template or any other template. Budget Statements: This option enables the NextGen® Enterprise PM menu path: File > Print Forms > Budget Statements. Set Up Practice Preferences for Multi-Language Letters

Before you begin Enable multi-language for PM must be selected on the Enterprise Preferences > General tab. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preferences > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. From the Preference List, select Forms. In the Enable Multi-Language Letters field, select one or more of the following supported letter types. Appointment Reminder Budget Letter (All) Demand Account Demand Encounter Recall After you select one or more letter types, then the link displays on the Demographics tab of the Patient/Person Information window.
