Create an Enterprise Batch Grouping

You can create transaction batch grouping using Enterprise Batch Grouping feature in NextGen® Enterprise PM. streamline transaction entry and batch balancing by using enterprise batch grouping. Enterprise batch groups are comprised of transaction batches from multiple practices within an enterprise. They enable users to enter, balance, and post transactions from multiple practices. In the Batch Posting window, you can create a batch grouping by selecting which practices the application creates transaction batches for. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Posting . The Batch Posting window opens. Select open menu icon, select New, and then select Enterprise Batch Grouping. The Enterprise Batch Grouping Maintenance window opens. Enter the enterprise batch grouping description, and the date fields. In the Practice section, select the practices to include in the batch grouping. To subgroup the transactions into an appropriate category, select the value from Transaction

Managing Optical Batches

Users in NextGen® Optical Management can create batch header records to handle transactions related to optical orders. You can view and work with these optical batches within NextGen® Enterprise PM by selecting the Show Optical batches check box in the Batch Posting window. You can also create an optical batch within NextGen® Enterprise PM by selecting the Optical Batch check box in the Batch Maintenance window. Parent topic: Managing Batches

Create a Quick Batch

To quickly create a batch header record with the need to work with the Batch Maintenance window, you can create a Quick Batch. When you create a Quick Batch, the application uses the current system date as the default date for the batch. Note: If a Quick Batch is created in NextGen® Optical Management, the batch appears as an optical batch in NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the main toolbar, select the Posting icon. The Batch Posting window opens. Select the open menu icon, select New, and then select Quick Batch. The Quick Batch window opens. Enter a name for the batch and select OK. Post and Review Transactions in the Batch Header

You can post a batch after all the transactions are added and the batch header record is balanced. In NextGen Healthcare posting a transaction permanently records the transaction which cannot be modified or deleted. You must use a correcting transaction to reverse any transaction posted in error. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Posting Posting Button. The Batch Posting window opens. In the Batch Posting window, select the batch header to post. Select open menu , and select Post. A message appears asking you for a confirmation to post the batch, and its associated transactions. Select OK. The Batch Listing report preview opens, and a message appears confirming successful posting of the batch. Select OK. To review all of the transactions in the batch, select Print Report icon on the Batch Listing report menu. A message appears stating the printing of the report is in progress. Note: You will not be able to print the Batch Listing report after the posting process

Secure a Single Batch in a Batch Group

Note: To set up Batch Groups, have your system administrator select the Enable Batch Groups check box on the General tab in Practice Preferences. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Posting Batch Posting Icon. The Batch Posting window opens. From the main toolbar, select the Posting icon. The Batch Posting window opens. To assign batch security to an existing batch, select the appropriate batch header record. Select the open menu icon and do one of the following: To open an existing batch, select Header. To create a new batch, select New > Batch. Modify or enter data in the fields as needed. In the Secured to User field, select the applicable user. The Batch Maintenance window opens. In the Members field, select the up arrow and set the number to 1, representing one batch. Select OK. Parent topic: Setting Batch Security

Secure a Single Batch

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Posting Batch Posting Icon. The Batch Posting window opens. Select the batch header record for the batch to secure. Select open menu , and select Header. The Batch Maintenance window opens. Update the desired fields. In Secured to User, select the applicable user. Select OK.
