Secure a Single Batch in a Batch Group
Note:
To set up Batch Groups, have your system administrator select the
Enable Batch Groups
check box on the
General
tab in Practice Preferences.
Open
NextGen® Enterprise PM
.
On the main toolbar, select
Posting
.
The
Batch Posting
window opens.
From the main toolbar, select the
Posting
icon.
The
Batch Posting
window opens.
To assign batch security to an existing batch, select the appropriate batch header record.
Select the open menu
icon and do one of the following:
To open an existing batch, select
Header
.
To create a new batch, select
New
>
Batch
.
Modify or enter data in the fields as needed.
In the
Secured to User
field, select the applicable user.
The
Batch Maintenance
window opens.
In the
Members
field, select the up arrow and set the number to 1, representing one batch.
Select
OK

Secure a Single Batch
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Posting Batch Posting Icon. The Batch Posting window opens. Select the batch header record for the batch to secure. Select open menu , and select Header. The Batch Maintenance window opens. Update the desired fields. In Secured to User, select the applicable user. Select OK. Setting Batch Security
You can secure a batches to a specific users in practices where the payments till is being shared or there are multiple users adding transactions to a given batch. NextGen® Enterprise PM allows practices to secure a batch to a single user to prevent any incorrect transactions from being added to the batch. You can secure a batch in the Batch Maintenance window using any of the following: Set batch security to a single batch or multiple batches at the batch header level. Set batch security to a single batch in a batch group without multiple batches. Set the batch security to define if the batch can be changed in any way. Secure Single Batches in Batch Groups
Before you begin To set up Batch Groups, you must select the Enable Batch Groups check box on the General tab of the Practice Preferences window. To make the Members option available, you must select Enable batch sub-batches option in the Transactions tab of the Practice Preferences window. Users without the appropriate security rights cannot access the transactions in the batch. You can also remove an entire enterprise batch grouping from the list if no sub-batches are secured for the current user. You can set up batch security for the following: A single batch or multiple batches at the batch header level. A single batch in a batch group without multiple batches. Create a Sub-Batch for a Batch Header
Before you begin You must select Enable batch sub-batches check box in the Transactions tab of the Practice Preferences window. You can create sub-batches for a header record. Creating sub-batches enables multiple users to work with their sub-batch under one batch header. You can use lockbox approach to combine all of the payments to a general deposit. Using sub-batches also ensures that the sub-header record is secured for the user. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Posting Posting Button. The Batch Posting window opens. In the Batch Posting window, do the following: Select open menu , and then select New > Batch. Select Header to open an existing header record. The Batch Maintenance window opens. Enter the desired information, and then select Sub Batches. Enter information for each sub-batch header, and then select OK. You can secure each sub-batch to a specific user. Create an Enterprise Batch Grouping
You can create transaction batch grouping using Enterprise Batch Grouping feature in NextGen® Enterprise PM. streamline transaction entry and batch balancing by using enterprise batch grouping. Enterprise batch groups are comprised of transaction batches from multiple practices within an enterprise. They enable users to enter, balance, and post transactions from multiple practices. In the Batch Posting window, you can create a batch grouping by selecting which practices the application creates transaction batches for. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Posting . The Batch Posting window opens. Select open menu icon, select New, and then select Enterprise Batch Grouping. The Enterprise Batch Grouping Maintenance window opens. Enter the enterprise batch grouping description, and the date fields. In the Practice section, select the practices to include in the batch grouping. To subgroup the transactions into an appropriate category, select the value from Transaction

Create Enterprise Batch Groupings
