Use Preferred Name for Patient Correspondence for Privacy
Open the Patient Chart for the desired patient. On the Patient Information tab, select the Open Record icon. The Modify Patient Information window opens. Select Privacy. Select the Use Preferred Name on Correspondence check box. Select OK. The preferred name is displayed on the patient's correspondence. Configuring the Patient Preferred Name on Correspondence
You can configure a patient chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM to display the preferred name of the patient by selecting the Use Preferred Name on Correspondence check-box on the Chart Details window. The preferred name is appears for the following: Standard statement Budget statement Itemized statement Detailed statement Summary statement NextGen® Background Business Processor statement Statement run report Budget statement report Fee tickets Patient data sheet and patient data sheet detail Addressee header of the budget letter, demand encounter letter, and demand account letter. You can set the preferred name on the correspondence using the Chart Details window in the patient chart and the Add/Modify Patient window. Set up Patient Co-Management Information
When a patient is co-managed by two physicians within the enterprise, you can add the name of the co-managing physician in the patient chart. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and then select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. Under Patient Information, select the Chart Details tab, and then select open folder Open Folder Icon. The Chart Details window opens. Select Co-Managed Patient. Open Previous Patient Records
When working with multiple patients, you can access a recently accessed patient chart without performing a chart lookup. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and then select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. Select open menu Open Menu icon and select Access Previous Patient. The most recently opened patient chart list appears. Select the patient record you want to open from the list. Print Patient Photos
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. In the Chart Details tab, select open menu Open Menu icon and then select Open. The Scanning Device Input window opens. Set Active Patient Status for Patients
A patient set as the active patient remains in recall when you work with other patient charts and is available for quick access. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and then select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens.
