Set up the Preferred Name for Patient Correspondence

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
  2. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon .
    The Patient Lookup window opens.
  3. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and then select Find.
    Patient records that match the search criteria, appear in the Matching Records section.
  4. Select the patient, and then select Open.
    The Patient Chart window opens.
  5. Under Patient Information, select the Chart Details tab, and then select open record Open Record icon .
    The Chart Details window opens.
  6. Select the Use Preferred Name on Correspondence check box.
  7. Select OK.
    The preferred name appears on the patient's correspondence.
