Export Statements to an ASCII File

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select File > Print Forms > Statements. The Statement Options window opens. You can also export statements to an ASCII file on the following: You can export an individual account statement on the Guarantor Statement window. You can export an individual patient statement on the Patient Statement window. You can export batch budget statements on the Budget Statement Generation window. To create an export file, select Export. The Save As window opens. Browse to the appropriate directory folder to save the export file. Enter a name for the export file in the File name field. Select text files (*.txt) in the Save as type field. To save changes and close the window, select Save. Note: You must send the export file to the third-party vendor for processing. Exporting Statements

You can export statements to create ASCII files that are sent to a third-party vendor for processing (printing and mailing). Both individual demand statements and batch statements can be exported. You must work closely with your statement processing vendor to ensure export files are created in NextGen® Enterprise PM and formatted using the appropriate data Delimiter and Text Qualifier required by the vendor. These must be defined in Practice Preferences > Forms > Export Options. Note: If you are using NextGen® EDI statement services, ensure to set the export options in Practice Preferences > Forms: Delimiter = <comma> and Text Qualifier = “. For detailed information on generating statements, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Billing and Collections Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM . Do one of the following: To export an individual account statement, access the Account Profile and then select the Stmts button on the main toolbar. The Guarantor Statement window opens. Export a Graph to NextGen® PxP Portal

You can add a note or comment and export a graph to NextGen® PxP Portal accounts as .pdf document files. CAUTION: The size of the graph must not exceed 15 MB. In System Administrator, you can set the size limit for documents that are sent to NextGen® PxP Portal. Send Documents and Images to NextGen® PxP Portal

Before you begin You must do the following: Complete enrollment in NextGen® PxP Portal. Add the NextGen® Document Management image to a patient's chart. Set up image rights in System Administrator. Configure document types and sending annotations with images in File Maintenance. In NextGen® Document Management, you can send documents and images to NextGen® PxP Portal. Note: You cannot send documents larger than 15 MB. However, you can set the size limit for sending documents to NextGen® PxP Portal in System Administrator. For more information on System Administrator, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Search, and then search for the documents or images. The Matching Records grid displays the list of patients who are associated with images that match your search results. Print or Export a Patient Statement from the Patient Chart

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Chart. The Patient Lookup window opens. Enter Search Criteria to locate the desired patient. Select Find. From the search results in the Matching Records section, double-click to open the patient. The Patient Chart window opens. From the main toolbar, select the Statements button. The Patient Statement window opens. The default settings on the Patient Statement > General tab are from pre-defined settings in Practice Preferences > Statements. Review the default Statement Options settings and make modifications, if needed. Note: The Enterprise, Practice, Location and Provider filter tabs are not available when printing an individual demand patient statement.
