Searching for Patients or Persons with Secure Lookup

You can perform a secure lookup for patients or persons not directly associated with your practice by entering their birth date or the last four digits of their social security number in the Patient/People Lookup window. You can also use secure lookup to provide additional means of authentication.

To use secure lookup, you must meet the following requirements:

• The secure Birth Date and Social Security fields must be configured in System Administrator. These secure lookup fields have indicator next to the field name.
• The Enable Secure Lookup right must be set up in System Administrator.
• To search by L4DSSN, the patients or persons you are searching for must have their social security numbers stored in the database.
