Run Autoflow from an Appointment

Before you begin

Ensure that the Estimate Patient Cost item is included in the autoflow.

You can run the autoflow for check-in or check-out from an appointment.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM and do one of the following:
    • Select the ApptBook on the toolbar.
    • Select Tasks > Appt Book.
    The appointment book opens.
  2. Right-click an appointment. Do one of the following:
    • Select Checkin from the menu to start the check-in sequence.
    • Select Checkout from the menu to start the check-out sequence.
    The first window configured in the autoflow sequence opens.
  3. Select AutoFlow to open the next window in the sequence. Continue with the autoflow sequence until the Estimate Patient Cost window opens.
    The Estimate Patient Cost window opens if it is configured in the sequence. The Estimate Patient Cost window displays the appointment details such as the encounter number and date, appointment date, provider, location, and service type.
  4. Perform the cost estimation.
  5. Select AutoFlow to open the next window in the sequence.
    The cost estimation data is saved and the next window in the sequence opens.
  6. If cost estimation is configured as the last in the autoflow sequence, close the Estimate Patient Cost window.
