You can process procedures from NextGen® Enterprise EHR that are in the pending charges holding tank in NextGen® Enterprise PM from the EHR Manual Charge Processing Pending report. You can process charges for one encounter at a time.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
- From the Reports menu, select General, and then select EHR Manual Charge Processing–Pending.
The NextGen Report Filter window opens.
- Filter the report to include the desired charges.
- Filter 1: Enter a charge Create Date range or leave blank for charges created on any date.
- Locations: Select one or more charge Service Locations or leave blank for charges from any location.
- Select OK.
The Report Preview window opens.
- Double-click the patient’s encounter.
The Encounters tab on the Patient Chart opens.
- Right-click the selected encounter and select Charges from the menu.
The
Charge Posting window opens with a message.
- Do one of the following:
- Select Process to accept the charges.
The charges are removed from the pending charges holding tank and are pulled into the Charge Posting window for the encounter.
- Select Reject to reject the charges.
The charges are removed from the pending charges holding tank but are not pulled into the Charge Posting window for the encounter. Rejected charges cannot be retrieved again and must be manually re-entered.
- Select Close if you do not accept nor reject the charges.
The charges remain in the pending charges holding tank and are available for processing later.
- Close the Charge Posting window.
