Printing Fee Tickets

A Fee Ticket is a form than can be printed and given to the provider to document diagnosis codes and procedure codes for a patient's encounter. The form can then be used as the source document for entering charges on the encounter. Fee Tickets can be printed from the following areas in NextGen® Enterprise PM: File Menu (blank forms only) Appointment Book Appointment Lookup Patient Chart > Encounters Tab Encounter Lookup Note: A Fee Ticket that is printed from an appointment before the appointment is checked-in and linked to an encounter does not include the encounter number in the header section. Print a Blank Fee Ticket A blank Fee Ticket can be printed without patient-specific information. Printing Patient Data Sheets

The data sheet includes demographic, responsible party (guarantor), primary insurance and secondary insurance information for the patient. You can use the Patient Data Sheet as an intake form to update the patient's demographic and financial information. There are two forms available: Patient Data Sheet and Patient Data Sheet Detail. The detail version of the form includes additional patient information that is not included on the other form. Scan Patient Insurance Cards

You can scan both the front and back of a card using a duplex scanner. Note: A duplex scanner is not required, but is highly recommended for accuracy. A duplex scanner is not required, but highly recommended for accuracy. You can scan and record images of one or more insurance cards for the patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup . The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and then select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. Select the Encounters tab. The encounters associated with the patient appear in the Encounters section. Select the Insurance tab and then select the encounter from the Encounters section. Right-click the selected insurance under the Encounter Insurance section, and then select Open. The Insurance Maintenance window opens. Select Scan.

Print an Itemized Bill from the Patient Chart

An Encounter Bill can be printed for a patient from their chart. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Chart. The Patient Lookup window opens. Select the desired patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart opens for the desired patient. Select the Encounters tab. Select the encounter. Do one of the following: Right-click the encounter, select Print, and then select Encounter Bill. From the Tasks menu, select Demand, and then select Demand Itemized Bill. The Itemized Bill for Encounter window opens. Review the default Itemized Bill Options and make modifications, if needed. Note: The default settings are from Practice Preferences > Itemized Bills. Select Preview to preview the encounter bill on the window prior to printing. Select Print to print the encounter bill. The encounter bill is automatically sent to the printer defined in Practice Preferences > Printing. If the user has specified a different printer in their General User Preferences > Printing, it overrides the printer defin
