NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed Payment Processor

When one practice in an enterprise has set up multi-merchant IDs or Device Profiles, then the profiles or multi-merchant IDs do not cross practices.

As a prerequisite, before you begin processing with NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed, review the following requirements for single sign-on (SSO), EMV, and NFC transactions:

  • EMV and NFC Transactions
    • To process EMV or NFC transactions you must contact NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed to purchase one of their approved credit card devices.
  • DynaMag Swipers
    • The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is mandated by the card brands and administered by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. If you plan on using a DynaMag swiper, it must meet the PCI standard. Contact NextGen® Pay to replace any old swipers with a new encrypted device.
Processing electronic transactions through NextGen® Pay enables you to do the following:
  • Store credit card token ID’s on file for one-time payment collection
  • Enables point-to-point encryption of keyed transactions and cards with a magnetic stripe or one that utilizes chip technology
  • Apply payments using a credit card or ECheck
  • Add Credit Card on File to the patient's account
  • Create a task for Credit Card expiration dates
  • Use a check scanner to scan patient's checks to NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed
