Marketing Tab

The Marketing tab on the Add/Edit Appointment window allows a Marketing Plan to be linked to a patient's appointment. A Marketing Plan may be required for specific events, depending on the setup of the Event in Scheduling Administration. A marketing plan linked to an appointment carries over to the encounter that gets created from the appointment during the check-in process.

If a Marketing Plan already exists in the patient’s Chart > Patient Information tab > Chart Details sub-tab, the appointment-level marketing plan is stored at the appointment level and does not override the existing chart-level marketing plan. If the person does not yet have a chart, the marketing data entered for the appointment is stored at the appointment level until a chart is created. When the chart is created, the appointment level data is added to the Chart > Patient Information tab > Chart Details sub-tab.
