Encounter Maintenance - Marketing Tab
The Marketing tab includes additional information about any outside influence, such as advertising or a recommendation by another patient that may have been involved in the patient’s decision to come to the practice for the encounter.
The Marketing tab includes the following fields:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Marketing Plan | Select a marketing plan for the encounter, if applicable, which reflects how the patient came to the practice for the encounter. If the encounter is created from the appointment book check-in process and the appointment had a marketing plan linked to it, the encounter marketing plan will default from the appointment. |
Marketing Data / Physician / Patient / Facility/Location | This field is dependent on the setup of the marketing plan in File Maintenance: If the marketing plan is defined with Plan Type = Physician, then Physician is a required entry for the plan and reflects the physician that recommended the practice to the patient for the encounter. If the marketing plan is defined with Plan Type = Patient, then Patient is a required entry for the plan and reflects the other patient that recommended the practice to the patient for the encounter. If the marketing plan is defined with Plan Type = Facility/Location, then Facility/Location is a required entry for the plan and reflects the facility/location that recommended the practice to the patient for the encounter. If the marketing plan is defined with Plan Type = Other, then marketing data is an optional free text entry and reflects additional information about what brought the patient to the practice for the encounter. |
